Contribuiți la feedbackDuring our exploration of the small town of Georgetown and the numerous lighthouses across Prince Edward Island, we stumbled upon Clam Diggers restaurant. My online research highlighted this as a popular spot known for its fantastic location, warm service, and delectable dishes. The restaurant's design was inspired by a previous station in the area, offering a charming and romantic atmosphere with stunning views of the water and a gentle breeze. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive, and the vibrant pink decor added a lively touch to the space.
This was the worst dining experience I've had on the island. It was a beautiful, sunny day for dinner, but we waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Eventually, a young girl reluctantly asked where we wanted to sit, but seemed unprepared for our answer. We requested to sit outside, even though there were empty tables inside. The menu mainly consisted of seafood options, with very few non-seafood choices and nothing specifically for children. We were never given any water or attention from the staff, so after waiting for drinks for several minutes, we decided to leave. The service was poor and it was clear that the restaurant was not well managed. I can't speak for the food quality, as we never received the chance to try it.
Arrived mud afternoon for a snack and ended up ordering the clams and we also had the seafood chowder.Very clean, customer service is top notch. Everyone who walks in is greeted right away and makes you feel like home. The food was delicious and not over priced and it was all very hot. You have the option to eat inside or on the massive deck when it's nice out.Highly recommended when visiting Georgetown.
The view on the patio is outstanding! And the service is great as well. The food was also good. I had a lobster roll which was well prepared and tasty.
We went to Kings Playhouse to watch the four tellers. I had the Chef special pasta. It was seafood lobster pasta. To die for! Now if your not a big person to appreciate local food, fresh food and support local the cost my knock you off your chair. But I appreciate hard working local restaurants that no one can copy. This place is in such a peaceful spot of the Island. I have been going there every time we have visited PEI. I will for sure be back in 2 years!
