George West Steakhouse

As we were traveling from the Valley to Lampasas, we started feeling hungry halfway through our drive. We decided to look up this restaurant online and give it a try. We ordered the chicken fried chicken and fried mushrooms, which were both delicious. I opted for mine topped with queso dip sauce instead of gravy, while my wife chose the gravy. Both dishes were very tasty. We are already looking forward to trying their steaks next time.

We usually just get our food to go and every time it’s amazing. Food is cooked well and when they put the food in the to go containers they really go above and beyond to make your food look presentable and kept warm. Their new menu is also great and the portions are just right. I really appreciate the excellent customer service as well. When we called, a woman answered and she politely put us on hold and she was helping another customer and she was congenial to them as well. She got everything in our order correct too. Really thankful for restaurants like this!

We visited this restaurant on a quiet Monday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. The highlight was the rolls, which were a great dupe for the ones at Texas Roadhouse. If I find myself in the area again, I will definitely be returning.

We had a great time at the restaurant and loved the fresh salad with grilled chicken, as well as the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The service from our server was exceptional!
