Comfort Inn The Pier Restaurant

This charming coastal town is a delightful place to visit. The accommodations are adequate, the hotel food is decent, but some of the staff members could improve on their friendliness.

The meals are very generous and at a reasonable price. There is plenty of variety to choose from the menu and you won't be dissapointed. We really enjoyed our meal, it was cooked beautifully and we didn't have to wait long after placing our order. The staff are friendly and helpful, and even provide colouring in activities for young children. We will definitely return in the near future.

We had the fish and chips and maple glazed salmon and both were hot, fresh and tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals which are far better than the typical bistro type fare.The Seafood plate was excellent with a wonderful selection of Tasmanian products. The oysters, mussels, scollops, squid, and particularly the Tasmanian salmon were exceptional.The Surf and Turf was particularly good as well although the steak was slightly better done than the medium requested. The seafood component came in a beautiful creamy sauce spiced with sweet chilli and the supply of prawns and scollops was better than average.Thought this to be one of the best pub meals going.

I have eaten at the Pier 3 or 4 times, hoping it will get better but it doesn't. The staff are lovely and the hotel is quite presentable. The food is overpriced for what it is and not very adventurous in its taste or menu options. Go for the view but dont expect too much from the menu :)
