State Street Diner - Geneva

My husband and I ate here for the first time today and we both enjoyed the food. Their biscuits and gravy were delicious as was the florentine benedict. It was fresh and delicious but did not leave us feeling like we overdid it. I also loved the atmosphere it gave me a small town feel. Friendly and kind staff, excellent service.

We got here at 9:00am on a Sunday and had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated (they are very busy on weekends, so it would be best to visit on weekdays), but the staff worked very fast to get us a table! Our server was very nice and helped us feel comfortable. It was a long wait before we got the food about an hour but we were a party of seven people. However, the food justified the wait time! Everything was high praise worthy and we especially enjoyed the Reuben Sandwich, and the Spinach and Mushroom with Cheese Omlette! The food was very savory and tasted fresh; we were especially amazed when the french fries and hashbrowns weren't greasy, but still absolutely delicious! The only criticism was the coffee, which tasted watered down. That aside, we left absolutely satisfied with our breakfast! This would be an excellent pick for breakfast or brunch on the beautiful State Street!

A classic American diner. Always a lovely time with incredible staff that will make you feel like locals.
