Red Passion - Geneva

We often go there and every time we know we have to come back! Giulio is the best host ever: He makes us feel at home! Beautiful wine and fresh cheese plate and cold cuts. Very recommended to visit this small Portuguese pearl! Grazie Giulio:

I've been to Red Passion several times and every time has been an excellent--flawless, really--evening. This time a new person was working there, Eugenio; he is a young chef and everything he made for me--different types of bruschetta--was exceptional. I talked a lot with him since it was not crowded and both he and Julio (the owner, I think had time to chat. If you talk with Eugenio about food it is clear he thinks about it a lot, using what is in season (so the fig and chevre bruschetta I had...and which I ordered more of... will not be available in a week or two . The wine I had (two reds from Portugal was, as it has been on other visits, great. And Julio (and Eugenio could not be friendlier, so it is a very easy place to visit and be comfortable (no pretentiousness here . I should also add that, on other visits, it is clear that Julio really knows wine...but on this visit I must say I was focused on the food. (Note that the almonds they give you with your wine come from Julio's father's farm in Portugal . Okay, so obviously, I really like this place; there are few places I can recommend so highly.

Partie pour aller prendre l'apéritif, c'est un vrai petit dîner gastronomique qui nous a finalement été servi. Super accueil dans un lieu peu spacieux mais très chaleureux, petite dégustation de vins excellents (portugais mais il y en a d'autres...) avant de choisir lequel nous désirions boire. Puis comme accompagnement, petits crostinis variés, plus savoureux les uns que les autres. Nous nous sommes laissées surprendre par le chef (viande séchée, betterave, féra, avocats...) comme c'était très confortable et agréable nous avons poursuivi avec des petits mets à partager à deux, tous plus délicieux, originaux et inventifs les uns que les autres, concoctés par un cuisinier passionné et qui vous fait partager ses découvertes. Ce lieu est une petite perle dans Genève, j'ai hâte d'y retourner pour le faire découvrir à tous mes proches.
