Athen - Geilenkirchen

A co-worker and I were looking for a quick dinner spot in Geilenkirchen and stumbled upon Athen. It was a cozy place and the service was great. I am far from a conesieur of Greek food, and didn't really know what to order so I went for the "Gyro" dish, something I have some familiarity with. It was not what I expected but nevertheless it was tasty and I enjoyed it. Essentially it was a pork based donair meat drizzled in a delicious sweet sauce, served with a fresh salad and a tomato based rice. All in all, quite good and I was satisfied. We were served by a friendly young lady who spoke very good English. She certainly enhanced our dining experience. Chatty but not over bearing and very attentive to our needs. Something you don't always get in European restaurants I find. I would return to Athen and recommend it.

Das Essen war schon seit ich denken kann immer gleich und gut....jetzt ist es komplett renoviert und sehr schön ....tolle Einrichtung, saubere Oertlichkeiten sehr nettes Personal

I got what I paid for. Nothing special about it, except for the rustic atmosphere in the front part of the restaurant. Would go there only if invited, otherwise I'd rather go somewhere else.

Super lekker, snel, grote portie, betaalbaar, hebben tevens een hotel, ligt langs spoor, dus regelmatig zoeft er een trein langs, maar dat was niet storend, vriendelijk personeel.

The rude staff I've ever seen and the worst service I'll remember for a long time. answer the manager I received: if you don't like it, it won't come back. if they want people to eat and dismiss the bug. should they be called a take away, then no restaurant. I do not recommend this place to say that eating was over salt.
