I visited this place twice and found eating is excellent, especially bengali dishes, fish preparations are great.
This is a small restaurant serving Bengali cuisine located near Paltan Bazar on Solapara Path, opposite Hotel Rains Inn. The dishes offered are typical Bengali but unfortunately, they are not very well-cooked and taste bad due to the use of cheap ingredients. We chose the thali and felt disappointed after eating at this establishment. Cleanliness is a concern and overall, the experience was not satisfying. The only positive aspect is the wall tattoos that may bring a smile to patrons in this otherwise dull place.
I came across this restaurant right across from my hotel, but I didn't visit until later in my stay. What a mistake! This restaurant is popular among locals, which is usually a good sign of delicious food at reasonable prices, and this place delivered on both fronts. The restaurant is labeled as an Ethnic Bengali Restaurant, so you can expect a variety of fish dishes, as well as many other choices. I noticed many locals enjoying talis of different types of food. I opted for a flavorful mutton curry, although it was a tough decision with so many tempting options on the menu. The restaurant seems to be one of the few places outside of hotels that stays open late in the evening. The space is clean and modern, and the service is efficient. If you find yourself in Paltan Bazar, make sure to seek out this restaurant for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
Not much option in the menu. cost are high. the ambiente of the hotel does not match the menu.
