Chocolate Monkey - Gatlinburg

Me and my partner stopped in today during our trip to Gatlinburg and got caramel apples and some chocolates to give as a gift. $30 for 2 apples and 6 chocolates is not bad at all compared to a few other places in the area! Staff was kind, they even offered to cut up the apple to make it easier to eat :

Ice cream was mid. Which is fine, bc ice cream that is fine is still ice cream. What I don't appreciate is the service. I got two scoops, nana's puddin and some mud hole something or other. My friend got a single scoop. When i went to pay for the single and double scoop the lady at the register said i had 3 scoops. I let her know i asked for two. Fine ok. Paid for my ice cream. Before I even get out the door i hear her yell across the store, was that 2 or 3 scoops? I could clearly hear it and I stopped appalled. Two things: First, If you are going to be rude, at least wait until out of earshot. Second, why would I try to pull a fast one over $4. Absolutely ridiculous. Left a bad taste in my mouth. If you had a question, I would have gladly walked back over to the scooper and helped sort it out to your satisfaction.

I highly recommend this place. Fudge Carmel apple hand dipped sweets. I always stop by any chocolate money I see.
