Contribuiți la feedbackCustomer service (from presumably the owner; an older man) was incredibly poor. We were the only ones there dining and yet received no attention, we had to keep getting up to ask for stuff. When we asked a question about the menu we were told to “just read” very rudely. He seemed very bothered that we had shown up to eat ?. Will not return. Food was good though.
I tried the Lomo Saltado recommended by a friend and now I totally recommend it to everyone! Love and coming back!
A group of 12 of us visited the establishment for dinner on Aug 13 Saturday evening . We left a happy bunch What a cute little place , from outside it might look divey but its spacious inside complete with a well lit patio and a dining room on the other side . The decor is neat , tidy , quickly getting into pros and cons Pros 1.Food Food Food We had 2 brazilians, 1 peruvian and 1 colombian in the group and all of them agreed handsdown that the food was authentic and delicious and yes Peru did win the day on latin cuisine wars within the group 2. The service : Family run businesses always have a challenge when large groups show up , however we never felt it , service was prompt and served with smiles . However be decisive, i got reprimanded by the dad of the household for being too indecisive with my orders . True dad style . we even got delicious chicho morada candies when we left 3.The patio: its cute and spacious for multiple small groups Can be improved 1. Parking : its right by a street , your option is street parking , there is no dedicated parking 2. You may have to queue up with folks waiting for to go orders to pay up , we waited for a while expecting the cheque then decided to queue up Now to signature dishes that we liked Ceviche : was fresh ,citrusy and won the day The peruvian beaver tail or a form of bunuelo with crema leche was crip and the leche sauce tasted fresh Lomo saltado and Arroz con Pollo The chicha morada drink is a must try , served in tall glass and so is the candy the cheese deep for yucca fritters was yummy its good for an authentic cultural experience with a group of friends , Truly a gatineau treasure
Best Peruvian food in Ottawa. It was amazing. I totally recommend this restaurant.
Highly recommended restaurant in old Aylmer, off the main drag of rue Principale. Flavourful, authentic Peruvian dining, unique in the region, owned by ex-pats Segundo and Rosa of Lima. Recent changes in the kitchen have paid off in quality at the table. Fiery Ceviche, delicate Jalea de Pescado y Mariscos (lightly battered seafood) with cassava, and savoury Lomo Saltado sirloin cubes are all worth consideration. Try the nationally famous Chicha Morada drink, a purple concoction of corn, pineapple and clove.
