Le Foubrac - Gatineau

If you're in the mood for a truly authentic Canadian meal, then Le Foubrac is the place for you. They have delicious fries and standout burgers that set them apart from other local restaurants. Le Foubrac offers a wide variety of creative homemade burgers, poutines, and desserts at affordable prices. Established in Hull in 2013, Le Foubrac quickly gained popularity after entrepreneur Daniel Morissette and his team took over a closed-down café in Wrightville and transformed it into a charming eatery with a focus on friendly service and a menu centered around sandwiches. Le Foubrac prides itself on using quality ingredients and combining flavors to create unique and tasty dishes. The restaurant is conveniently located with a small parking lot that can accomodate 6-7 cars, but there is ample street parking nearby. Upon entering the restaurant on a busy Saturday night, we found the seating to be a bit tight in the small space, especially at the entrance where we had to wait for a table with another group for about 20 minutes. In the winter, they put up a black curtain to block the cold wind, further limiting the available seating space.

The service was fantastic! The burger was absolutely amazing, and the menu had a great selection. Our server was very knowledgeable and the local beer was delicious. The patio seating was lovely, and the restaurant is conveniently located near downtown Ottawa. I highly recommend this place.

We absolutely LOVED this restaurant. It is a MUST eat at if you are in Ottawa or Gatineau. It was the best meal of our trip! Wow! And the service was literally perfection some of the nicest humans work there

I loved it! Warm and delicious.. What a delicious restaurant! The menu is very simple and the ingredients are of high quality. Certainly, we often go back for their famous burgers, but the coffee/dessert option is just as appealing in this small restaurant. With only about twenty seats, a permanent art exhibition, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's easy to become attached to it!

What a great little place!. This place is small (and hot if you're stuck eating inside during the summer) but the food is so good, and the service is both prompt and polite. Everything was very fresh tasting. I highly recommend the poutine!
