Allo Mon Coco - Gatineau

Allô Mon Coco 9/10 Maybe it was just our bad luck with food during our trip to Ottawa, but the discovery of this place in Gatineau was a blessing! All of the food was amazing with even better service. No other breakfast chain we've been to compares! Aside from the main dishes, highlights were the mashed potatoes and the perfectly toasted English muffins. Each plate also comes with fruit which is a refreshing addition. Also leave a comment if you have any restaurant suggestions for next time in Ottawa (we could really use it)! Absolutely delicious we went for breakfast and everything was delicious, service was very quick they have lots of breakfast options everything looked fresh we will definitely be going back three thumbs up

Greeted with a smile, all staff were friendly and looked happy to be there. Our server was friendly. Food was good. Eggs Benedict with tomatoes, goat cheese (vegetarian) with Hollandaise sauce was very good. The portions are WAY too big, I took 1/2 my meal home. Latte was good, but again WAY too large served in a large soup bowl. Would I return? Yes. Would I share a meal? Yes.

Food was OK. Ordered a casserole (breakfast). Cheese wasn't melted properly, hollandaise sauce was kind of cold and overly thick. Service was awesome but it was expensive for was it was.

We don't do a ton of brunches and very few of them stand out. But this one does. I'll admit we got lucky, as last time we had to wait 45 minutes, but we got in right away and our waiter Gabriel presented very quickly. Neither of us was sure what we wanted exactly, and Gabriel made some great recommendations, especially considering I’m a vegetarian and my partner doesn’t eat pork. I was given a recommendation by Gabriel for the grilled veggie casserole, which delighted me with its variety and novelty. As for my partner, he told Gabriel what he wanted to end up with, and he made it happen. According to my partner, the beef salami was tasty, the banana pancakes were a thrill, but the highlight was the mashed potato dish. We don't know what they used to season them, but they were divine. Overall I have to say this is at least one of the best, if not THE best, brunches we've ever had. Âllo Mon Coco is now on our radar the next time we’re in Gatineau!
