Sprouts Cafe - Gastonia

I am from Maryland and always look for vegan/vegetarian options using Happy Cow. The restaurant had a very nice and relaxed atmosphere, and both the owner and server were pleasant. I ordered a flatbread pizza without prosciutto, which was very good with a thin crust and a fig base. Although it didn't have goat cheese, the feta substitution was still a good choice, topped with a sweet balsamic glaze. I also tried the protein soup made with spaghetti squash and perfectly cooked veggies, which was delicious. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. For dessert, I had the vegan and gluten-free strawberry cake with lemon icing, but I couldn't taste either flavor and found the icing to be too sweet. Overall, I would definitely return for another meal. It's worth noting that gratuity is added to the bill in advance, and there is a tip jar at the counter. I only realized this after I had already left a tip in the jar. Upstairs, there is a lovely market as well.

I absolutely adore Sprouts! Chef Carla goes the extra mile to create delicious and one-of-a-kind dishes. I always enjoy her vegan special of the day, especially her chik'n wraps and sandwiches made with beyond chick'n. The daily menu has many other fantastic options as well. I try to visit as frequently as possible! Additionally, the store above the Cafe offers a wide variety of unique vegan options that are hard to find elsewhere in Gastonia. I am in love with this place!

I was delighted to discover this restaurant while passing through the Charlotte area. Their regular menu offers a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes, and they also have vegan daily specials. During my visit, I tried the vegan special which was a wrap made with Beyond chicken, fresh greens, and homemade pickles, as well as the mock chicken salad sandwich made with tofu. I also ordered the vegan side of the day, which was eggplant fries, and a grilled cheese (not vegan) with a side of fresh fruit. Overall, the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend this spot to others.

There don't seem to be a great number of vegan options at this place, which would be forgivable if the options they had were particularly good. I had the vegan special (a cheeseburger), and got their vegetarian wrap (ordered as the vegan variant) to go. I found both dishes bland, and it seemed like pretty low-effort food. The cheeseburger seemed like the sort of thing someone might make at home for themselves if they were in a hurry, barely melted cheese slices with a run of the mill vegetable burger patty. The wrap is likewise nothing to write home about, fresh flavors, but nothing there to excite the taste buds. The dining area is reasonably pleasant. It's a casual place with a clean, comfortable feel. The music was played too loud for my liking, but nothing about the dining experience was particularly objectionable.
