Contribuiți la feedbackI was hesitant to try this restaurant as they had limited reviews, some of which were not positive. However, I am thrilled that we decided to go anyways. The food was fantastic! I ordered the salmon, which was delicious. The dinner included an appetizer and dessert, both of which were generous in portion size and very flavorful. I felt like I got a great value for the price I paid and that the quality of the food was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Amazingly good meal! Had the appetizer special terrine of halibut and shrimp followed by the Halibut and crab cake! Fish was fresh and cooked to perfection! The rum cake with fruit was equally good! I now live in St John's Newfoundland with some of the...best seafood restaurants in Canada and this restaurant is a must visit in Gaspe and in my opinion for the quality and quantity very reasonably priced !
We had a wonderful meal in this very nice ancestral house located just a block from the busier area downtown Gaspe. The menu was original and the food did not disappoint for the most part. The braised bison ribs was lovely as was the seafood...shell. The duck was also very nice save for the blueberry sauce that was too sweet for our taste. Definitely worth a try if your budget can afford it.
The restaurant was quiet and relaxed with generous portion sizes. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. The prices were reasonable considering the high quality of the experience.
There were not many online reviews to rely on, but we took a chance due to the restaurant looking so appealing. The restaurant offers prix-fixe, table d'hote meals where the entire meal is included in the price. Our experience was absolutely amazing! We started with a pre-appetizer of local shrimp on toast, followed by appetizers including a heavenly Squash Marmite soup and locally sourced Salmon Duo. The Gaspe Cod with Shrimps was incredibly delicious, and the Maple Glazed Scallops on a bed of maple stewed Pork Flanks were simply divine. Both dishes came with fresh veggies and starch options of rice or mashed potatoes. Despite being full, we couldn't resist trying the Rhubarb Raspberry Cake and Fresh Fruit Salad, finishing off with mint tea. The wine list is great and reasonably priced. Didier provided incredible hospitality, managing the dining rooms and cash all by himself. Our experience at Auberge Maison Wakeham was one of the best dining experiences we have had. Thank you very much.
