Mcdonald's - Garrison

The food is good, but prices have really gone up. Service: Takeout. Meal type: Lunch.

The food took an extremely long time to arrive, and they also got my order wrong. I had lunch, and the price per person was between $10 and $20.

I requested a refund since I couldn’t get my shake. Unfortunately, the only register was being attended by a slow worker who was helping another customer, so they suggested taking my card to another register in the back to process the refund. I agreed, but after about five minutes, what I assumed was the manager returned with my card and said they wouldn’t be able to refund me. I politely protested, pointing out that there was cash in the register if they couldn't refund my card. The manager claimed that if she processed refunds, the store would lose $14,000 a day. Unbelievable! She told me I would have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Frustrated, I left and filed a complaint with McDonald's corporate, who advised me to return to the store for a refund. So, they can process refunds after all. I live about 25 miles away and only visit this restaurant every couple of months when I'm passing through, but after this experience, I’m done. The wait times are consistently 20 minutes or more, and this was easily the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. I’ve traveled extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and this McDonald’s in Garrison is by far the worst. Don’t waste your time here; I certainly won’t be wasting mine again.

Great service! They are always really busy, but yet they provide excellent customer service. If they make a mistake, they are prompt to fix it. My food has always been hot and fresh. The staff are kind and helpful. The inside and outside of the building are very clean and taken care of well. They have quite a few minors working here, but to my surprise they are all very professional and appear to be trained properly. The lines are very long in the summer, but they move fairly rapidly. If you are inside the restaurant you can see the workers working together at a very fast pace in order to serve customers in a timely manner. I even observed someone who appeared to be from a corporate office standing behind the counter helping out. I thought that was great to see! I love to use my mobile app to order because it is convenient and you also get reward points! Nothing like a free Big Mac They also always give plenty of napkins which is nice because it’s easy to make messes when you are trying to eat and drive at the same time. You won’t be disappointed if you stop here to eat a meal or even just to get a drink or a something sweet!
