Whataburger - Garland

It was 6am, and i had a few extra minutes, so i hit up the drive thru. There was only one car in front of me waiting on one order and drink. I ordered 2 breakfast taquitos. I waited for 13 minutes for a pre made breakfast taco.... I ended up beinglate.

This review is more about Whataburger as a whole rather than just this location. They often seem to be understaffed, resulting in extremely long wait times, and my order is frequently incorrect. Come on, Whataburger, you’re giving Texas a bad reputation. Regarding this specific location, I can see that the one employee was doing his best, but managing multiple cars and dine-in customers at the same time is definitely a challenge.

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich but received a sweet and spicy burger instead. When I pointed out the mistake, I was met with attitude and no assistance in resolving the issue. I was informed it would take over 8 minutes to get the spicy chicken sandwich. Additionally, the cars in front of me in the drive-thru seemed to be experiencing similar order problems. I wouldn’t recommend using the drive-thru because of the way it’s designed; it’s impossible for a car to move out of the way, making it difficult for others to get through if they have to wait longer for their food.

I do not recommend visiting this particular Whataburger. The service is consistently very slow. On one occasion, I waited in the outdoor drive-thru lane and was never served. When I went inside to ask for my order, the staff was extremely rude and claimed it was my fault for not being seen. I spoke to the manager, and at no point did anyone simply say, "I’m sorry, ma’am. Let me take your order." It seemed they never even considered serving the customer who had been waiting the longest. Unbelievable! I will not return there. Instead, I went across the street to Taco Bell, where I was greeted with kindness and warmth.

Ben Corders made my experience pleasant at this location going above and beyond with not only myself but other customers. The entire team works hard and try there best to please guest. Has to be one of the busiest location and I knw why...it's theresouthern hospitality that keep us coming back!
