Giardino Dei Limoni - Gardone riviera

I reserved a table here,well in advance,and notified the staff that it was for the occasion of our Ruby wedding anniversary . Had anticipated some small recognition of the event but, sadly, it was not forthcoming. We did have a complementary glass of Prosecco ,but then so did everybody else. We had studied the menu beforehand so had no delay deciding what to have. Both our starters and main courses were very good and we enjoyed our meal,though there was a distinct lack of atmosphere on the night in question,probably because it was very quiet. Recommended for a special occasion.

We chose this restaurant because of excellent experiences in 2019. The location and views are superb….but.. The food and service have deteriorated. We were served a salmon starter with avocado. The salmon was excellent but the avocado was unripe. I had trouble getting my knife through it. The steak main course was tasteless and overdone. The ‘roast potatoes’ had never seen the inside of an oven and were probably just boiled. There was no seasoning except for the large pepper mill whose contents were spread all over everything. The crouton was a slice of brown bread with the crust still on. The service was very poor and when we commented about the standard of the meal to the waiter collecting the remains of our half eaten meal, the Head Waiter avoided us. We intended to eat at this restaurant 3 or 4 times as we were staying in the hotel (Grand Hotel Gardone) We’ll it won’t happen again, as we won’t be back!

Within the beautiful sceneries of Lake Garda, this restaurants fulfilled the desire to enjoy Italian food and great atmosphere. Indeed dishes were tasty, well presented, with special flavors of the Italian tradition. Staff was really impeccable, with a special mention for Dario and Francesco who pampered us all evening. Value for money, no doubt. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service but comes at quite a price . If you want starchy formality and regimented service then I'm sure you will appreciate it . But I prefer a slightly more relaxed atmosphere when on vacation .

We had a lovely meal here at Dei Limoni. The fish was excellent (a white fish caught that day in the lake) We had a lemon desert in a very light pastry mouth watering. The tables were all beautiffly dressed and a magnificent view of the lake. the staff were very attentive.
