J T Basque Dining Room - Gardnerville

I have been coming to JT Bar with my family for more than 40 years and have never been let down. It is hands down the best Basque food around. I would prefer to drive an hour to Reno for a meal at JT Bar than eat at any of the local Basque restaurants in the city.

My wife, son, and I absolutely enjoyed the food at JT Bar Grill! It is a great place for families and I highly recommend it. Every meal comes with soup, salad, bread, wine, beans, ox tail, and ice cream. They also offer a picon, which is their signature Basque Aperitif. We tried the top sirloin, lamb chops, and Basque chicken with sweet peppers, and everything was delicious. The service was also top-notch. We will definitely be returning!

This restaurant is the best in the Valley, whether you're looking for a delicious steak sandwich for lunch or a complete Basque-style dinner. The tongue stew is incredible and the picans are just unbeatable.

We love the JT! The food is always great, and so is the atmosphere. The building is a beautiful old architecture Nevada in its finest). Great bar! The first pecan I've ever had was at JT in 1990.

Fantastic meal lamb and steak. Oxtail stew soup salad beans french fries and wine. What is better.
