Tofu Village - Gardena

I go to a new Sundubu spot once a month and so far from Chino to Gardena, this is now my favorite one [as of 19MAY2022]. The sides were savory, the tea was good, the rice was smokey, and the soup was delicious. Only thing I didn't like was that we left a cash tip on the table and then paid the bill at the cashier with a card. Well, once the cashier noticed $0 tip on the receipt, she immediately called us back to ask about the tip! If the tip was expected, it should just be part of the price. Tips are NOT mandatory. That's not how that works.

This charming local tofu shop tends to get busy during peak lunch and dinner hours, so be prepared to wait a bit. The kimchi is excellent, and the tofu is always top-notch.

I absolutely love this place. The banchan that comes with the meal is so good. I recommend the kimchi soontofu or the spicy bbq pork.

This Soon Tofu is incredible! The service is truly warm and welcoming.

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant. The soups are excellent, and I appreciate all the side dishes. The service can be hit or miss, depending on who is attending to you. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Food rating: 5/5.
