Pretty tasty, I ordered the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. Unfortunately, they mixed up our order and I received mild. They gave me some red pepper flakes to put on it which made it a little spicier. The waitress was polite and attentive the establishment was clean also.
Compared to Banana Bay in Rowland Heights, the city of Bangkok, the famous thai restaurant in San Fran, and the many Thai places I've been to, I would say this place is a local gem. It's worth it, come give it a try. This place produced the first dish that my wife stole from me and even sipped the remaining soup after I took it back and finished it. This dish was the Boat Noodle. Simply delicious with tender beef sunken in an opaque sweet and sour soup. The chicken sate was moist and tender as well. Just piling the sauce and the pickled vegetables onto the the chicken was a challenge, yet satisfying. My wife loved her soft shell crab curry but I know she was eyeing my boat noodle. I tried the Nam Tok but I'm a weaksauce to the pepper paste in this dish, so I couldn't enjoy it as much as a Thai would be able to.
It was pretty good. Nice small place. Somewhat authentic.. Would go again to try other dishes. Nice clean place.
I wonder why this place is underated. We came in without any expectations because we were too hungry to care for an option. After finishing ALL of the dishes we ordered, all we can say is that Thai Avenue is extraordinary restaurant. I am sure you will be satisfied by anything you order in here. The staff is too friendly to be true. Will comeback for more of Thai food soon! Thank you Thai Avenue
