Com Tam Thuan Kieu - Garden Grove

The food was decent, but the customer service left much to be desired. My family and I arrived at 9 am on Wednesday when the restaurant was not busy at all, and it seemed like we were the first customers of the day. The waiter kept his distance and only approached us when we waved him over. My mom, sensing the early hour, inquired politely about how long it might take for our food. He responded dismissively, as if the question was bothersome, saying it depended on what we ordered. Considering the reviews mentioned large portion sizes, I decided to order two plates of broken rice for three people. His reaction was dismissive: “So just two?” Since we were speaking Vietnamese, I could sense his attitude. After we returned the menu brochures, he carelessly tossed them onto another table. The food was served within a few minutes, which was a positive aspect. Overall, while it wasn't terrible, it also wasn’t impressive. The quality was just average; the chạo tôm, or egg cake shrimp sausage, tasted more like shrimp or fish balls. This was my first visit, but I don’t think we’ll be returning.

Came into the waiter slamming the menus at us. That was super rude. We ordered our food and it literally came out 5 minutes later. The meat and rice was cold. Never coming back to this place again.

The food was decent. If you're in the mood for com tam and want to avoid a wait for a table, this is the spot to go. It's not crowded, but keep in mind they close early if there aren’t many customers. The service is typical of Vietnamese restaurants; they take your order and bring your food out promptly, but don’t expect anything more than that. Also, it's cash only. As for vegetarian options, there are none available. Parking is limited since it's in a small strip mall.

Vietnamese food is good. Service is normal. Place looks a little out dated. Plenty of parking.
