Joy Hing - Garden City Park

The food is salty and too much MSG. I am not sure why the lunch special costs so much today also they charge extra (75 cents) if you want to replace soup / egg roll with soda. This makes no sense for me b/c soup/egg roll should cost more. If you need to drink soda, hold soup or egg roll and order soda separately. Also part seems to be smaller than what I would normally get so that you are hit twice, higher price and less food. They round the bill, not sure whether this is a standard for Chinese American restaurants in the Nassau district. tldr: I worked in the Chinese American restaurant industry and I do not recommend this restaurant.

The rice tasted old and the soups had no taste. Not coming back here

This should be a 4.5-star restaurant, it has the best takeout in the area at low rates. Very recommended!

Why should a restaurant deliver burnt little pancakes? It is not even worth taking the extra time to drive back and sue for a replacement. Never again.

Joy Hing was good .. It is NOT anymore. Awful flavor .. it's now ownwed by some restaurant that is in Little Neck .. my concern is right here in GCP. It was very good but now terrible.. they can't make close to decent steamed dumplings. Awful. The boneless spareribs awful as well as the General Tsao's chicken was nasty .. Never again.. look for something else.. I heard Fortune East in NEW HYDE PARK is really good .. We will see . Stay away from this one though..
