Contribuiți la feedback--- I would honestly rate this place around 1.5 stars. **The Positives:** The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was unique and definitely matched my vibe! I was excited to see a beautifully restored Harley-Davidson motorcycle right when I walked in, which added a nice touch. The restaurant was also very clean, which really emphasized the theme of converting an auto shop into a dining space. **The Negatives:** Unfortunately, the Garden City location seems to be seriously understaffed. There are signs around asking patrons to be patient and lower their expectations because the restaurant struggles to hire and retain staff. While those present were attentive, they repeatedly apologized for the long wait on our food. I dined with just one friend, and although the restaurant was only half-filled, we waited nearly forty minutes for our burgers, with the appetizer arriving a few minutes later. Another downside is that, given the apparent understaffing in the kitchen, the quality of the food seemed to have suffered. The menu promised exciting flavor combinations, and considering the prices, I expected a lot more. However, I was left feeling disappointed when I took a bite; it looked great, but the taste didn't live up to my expectations. **Food Allergy Warning!** The "unbelievable" burger comes with a secret sauce — Nutella. It worked okay for my friend, as it didn't ruin his burger, but there was no indication on the menu that the sauce contained tree nuts. With such an unusual choice for a burger topping, I would have expected clearer warnings about common allergens instead of just a small note at the bottom stating to inform the server of any food allergies. (I don't feel too bad about sharing this secret since several staff members were quite open about it. I believe they would have told us if we had asked while ordering.) **In summary:** This restaurant is currently understaffed, and you can expect to wait close to an hour for a $7 burger.
We came in about 3-3:30 PM and the place was pretty empty. We didn't have to wait long for the hostess, but that wasn't the case for the couple that came in behind us that sat themselves and then left after never being helped. We ordered the Philly cheese,which isn't a Philly at all, but it was ok. The fries were amazing though. However, they get a 2 star rating due to service. Ourserver was mediocre at best. All of the staff hid in the back and the best part was when my wife went to use the restroom, onlyone stall was available and it was filthy so she had to find them to make them aware. There isn't a lack of employees here, justseems like they don't care.
We ordered the fried shrimp and steak tacos. Unfortunately, the shrimp were overcooked and dry, likely having been dipped twice. The steak tacos were okay but not exceptional; the meat was also on the dry side, although the pico de gallo and sauce were quite tasty. The service was decent overall, and the decor was pleasant, especially for car enthusiasts. However, we were not offered any appetizers or dessert. Additionally, the menu prices appear to fluctuate, which means they might not be accurate. Given our experience, I don't think we would choose to dine here again.
Do I recommend Cody's? Absolutely, yes! The service was outstanding, and the food was amazing! As for the atmosphere, as someone who appreciates vintage vehicles and loves getting my hands dirty working on cars, I really loved it. My breakfast was fantastic. If I ever return to Garden City, Utah, I will definitely make it a point to visit again.
03/12/22 Today I stopped in for my first time. The place looks amazing and is super clean. There?s lots of seating, likely this place gets busy during the summer, today however it was pretty slow when I went in. I immediately was seated. I ordered Wingswith 89 sauce for an appetizer and the fish basket for lunch. The fish basket came out first before the app which was odd butnot why I?m giving this place 2 stars. I bit into my first fish stick and something was off. Inspecting in it appeared that thebatter wasn?t cooked thoroughly. I hate sending food back so I went to the next stick and I take a bit into ice cold fish. Justfor curiosity I picked the 3rd one up and it too was cold. My waitress I had to grab from another table about 7 minutes after myfood was delivered and when I explained the situation she gave me a glaring look as if sending back frozen fish was aninconvenience to her. During the wait the wings finally came out (wings were good) and then my re-microwaved fish came back out.I say microwaved instead of cooked because the fries were soggy, I think all of us know microwaving fries makes them soggy.Anyway they gave me 20% off just the fish basket. Now that?s a kind gesture but the meal is $16, 20% equates to $3.20 off mymeal. Never was I told sorry we gave you frozen food. That would have been better than a discount honestly but the waitress wasdisconnected and with frozen food and below par service this place gets a 2. The picture is of my food once it re-came out.
