Benbow Historic Inn - Garberville

Our server was pleasant and capable and we enjoyed their service. my table mats said that the two command the blacks were very good as my Kale salad and the French were excellent. Unfortunately, it stops there as the rest of our food was so disappointed. if I expect the market price $52 for halibut i to be excellent. we ordered two and both portions had a very dry and heavy tough texture on the outside, they could not even be cut by a steak knife. even if I pay $10, halibut should not be presented on this way. there was much too much crisp black pfeffer on the pebbly pig with pebbles. we had two commands of the garnelen scampi and it was so bland except the chili flakes without sauce cling to the perfectly aldente boiled pasta.

My man had the best coq au vin I've ever eaten! I have the pork chop with potato-treated sweet potatoes and it was amazingly delicate and tasteful. for the first time in my life, I sent my comments to the cook. the waiting staff was friendly, helpful and professional. the restaurant has a quiet, elegant feeling, but is still relaxed and unpredictable. everything was perfect for our holiday dinner.

Fantastic meal of drinks in the cozy bar to a meal in the dining room. salat and main course were fantastic, drank my dessert back in the bar. second time here and a home run both paint!

Food was great. The historic ambiance was really cool and it was a dark stormy night so that kind added to the allure of Benbow

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere!! I couldn’t be more surprised with the level of service, the killer classic drink menu and the food was OUTSTANDING!! Couldn’t be happier with my experience!
