Shamiyana - Gandhinagar

Been here several times. Main attractions are Menu with wide range of food types and horror theme they arrange at particular time. You will get message if they have your number in system. So food is good, but price is high. Ambiance is good. Service is not up to the mark. Guess what! I had a piece of metal once in food I ordered. I showed it to a manager and he accept after check in kitchen with chef that it's a piece from mixture machine. He apologise and gave 10% discount. Second thing is sheesha launge they started... Now I will not prefer to go with family there any more.

We went to Shamiyana for a date night. After being greeted by a very friendly staff, we were taken to our table. When we generally go out on dates, we're not taken seriously considering we're college students. I expected the same here but it didn't happen at all. We were being given the treatment they were giving any older couple.<br/ <br/ We were given the menu and plenty of time to decide, considering their huge menu. Unlike a lot of places we weren't rushed into ordering. The best thing I find about this place is that the wait staff knew the order of courses. Everything we ordered came in a proper sequence and not just all together.<br/ <br/ We ended up ordering a Mushroom Parsley soup, Tandoori Momos, and Mexicano Sizzler.<br/ <br/ The food was delicious and of good quality and quantity.<br/ Being a Punjabi, I have high standards when it comes to food and it is a little difficult to impress me.<br/ I'm gonna specially comment on the Tandoori Momos. First of all, their momos were served on a table tandoor, the momos were served with Green Chutney and Pickled Onions, Tomatoes, and Capsicum (If you know any Punjabi, you'll Green Chutney and Onions are our weakness. . The wait staff served it to us and then we were left to explore the flavors. The spicy marinade on the momos which was put before they put it on the tandoor, tasted amazing. Not kidding I haven't had anything like that even in Delhi. We literally took fifteen to twenty minutes to eat like three pieces each cause we were enjoying the taste as much as we could.<br/ <br/ The only suggestion I have is that they can do with a little more cooling in the restaurant. It gets hot after it starts filling up.

Have been to this restaurant 2-3 times and has never been an disappointment... They have a great ambiance, great service and great food... We went at the time of halloween so they had a special decor on that occassion which was nice ... The mocktails are good..The enchiladas are perfectly baked and tasty... Overall great experience
