Olympia Grill at Pier 21 - Galveston

We’ve eaten here many times. However, the last two times the food has been subpar and the service slow. Our waiter tried, but was clearly in the weeds. Meanwhile, we see managers and other wait staff standing around. Drinks were not refilled in a remotely timely manner and the empty glasses were only cleared when we put them on the vacant table next to us. We spent $20 on salads with old lettuce with giant chunks of uncut steams. It was not worth $60 for 4 people for lunch.

The staff took very good care of us as I surprised my husband with a bday lunch with friends. Only negative (small thing) was we were sat at a table right by the kitchen/bus door so it was a bit noisy. But everyone enjoyed their food and drinks...….bday dessert was fabulous!!

I generally don't like Galveston restaurants or ones in any tourist destination. I live in Houston and have many great places to eat nearby. So I was surprised at how good the food and service were at Olympia Grill at Pier 21. I would definitely go back again.

We love Olympia! We make it a point to have brunch at the Pier 21 location each time we come to the island. The food is delicious, beautifully plated, and the wait staff always friendly and attentive. We love eating on their deck and watching boats go by and the occasional porpoise. We even brought our best friends with us who are both professional chefs, the husband head chef at a downtownDallas restaurant, and they loved it, too, both cocktails AND the delicious seafood. We were very excited to see the new location they opened in League City.

There were pesky bees during much of our brunch outdoors. Food was very good, and very good service.
