Nate's West End Grill - Galveston

Nates has awesome, delicious food. New ownership has improved and refreshed the bar and dining room nicely. Staff is always friendly. Only down side is that the ceiling is low so sound bounced back and results a very loud place with just a few customers inside. You can’t hear conversation at your own table and it is difficult to even think at times because it gets so loud. Unfortunately , it is due to the structure of the building and nothing can be done to fix that.

Food was really good. Seems to be a fav place for locals and families. All sides are a la carte which we found to be a little on the expensive side $2.99 for a small bowl of mashed potatoes that arrived cold). Overall the food was good, not fancy, but a great choice for the West End.

Friendly and attentive service. Peel and shrimp were excellent, roasted potatoes great, patty melt great and the key lime pie perfect!!! Check it out!!

The pecan crusted snapper was delicious. The presentation was great. We had great service and everyone was very nice.
