Katie's Seafood House - Galveston

Unfortunately, my experience was very poor on both food and service. The manager did discount our bill due to the issues we experienced but I will not return to this restaurant. We arrived at 8pm and either the waiter or the kitchen misplaced our dinner ticket and delayed our meal an hour. When we were served, the waiter brought out just my husbands fried oyster meal which was room temperature at best and a crab bisque soup for me because my meal was not ready. The soup had a film on it like cooked pudding because it had sat for a while before it was served. The waiter left the dumb waiter and tray at my elbow while he waited for my meal to be ready. Finally, my meal is served with rice that is gummy, a cilantro sauce that is watery and taste like lemon and vegetables that are overcooked with no seasoning. My grilled shrimp were eatable. This experience was one of the worst dinner experiences ever for us.

Amazing! Got the special, everything fresh caught from boat to table, and gluten free friendly. Great view of the marina. Highly recommend!

Nice atmosphere with water view on patio and show from pelicans. Monica, our server, was the sweetest! She offered knowledgeable and favorable options from the menu for our group to try.

From the moment we walked in, to the minute we walked out the service was superb! Our food was excellent....from the succulent shrimp in my blackened shrimp and macaroni and cheese dish, to the crispy golden fried shrimp and oysters, to the fabulous dessert.....everything was great! And Vernon, the waiter, gave such great service.....he made my sister's birthday special!!

Food was absolutely amazing! Atmosphere is great! Wish it was warmer outside so we could sit on the patio. Arnold was amazing! Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to have around! He definitely needs kudos for going way above and beyond. Because of him and the food we will definitely be back!
