The gravy was flavorful, but the biscuits felt like they were lacking something. Our 13-year-old son, who’s quite the critic when it comes to food, had the grilled cheese but didn’t finish it because the cheese wasn’t fully melted. He has a discerning palate that most kids his age can relate to. The fries were tasty, and we managed to polish them off by the end of our meal. The drinks were self-service with free refills, which is always a nice touch. The decor was eclectic and added to the overall ambiance. The food was good all around, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly after we sat down, indicating that it’s a popular spot during lunchtime. I would definitely eat here again. Also, the restrooms were clean, which my wife appreciated!
The coffee was just average. It took 25 minutes to receive six drinks, and when we raised an issue with one of them, they moved us to the back of the line, resulting in an even longer wait. The staff also seemed unfamiliar with the menu. We’ve found better coffee spots in Galveston.
This place was highly recommended by the owner of the RV resort where we lived. My wife and I agree that this was one of the best meals we had in Galveston. The service was excellent, the staff was helpful and very pleasant as the owners. The place is a family business and business and all food is made by scratches and by own recipes. Prices were very modest and did not reflect in any way the superior quality of food and services. We paid half as much as we did in other restaurants on the island. We also thought the decoration and music was very pleasant. The old school academies gave everything a very nice touch. I highly recommend this place if you are in Galveston and want a good quality meal at an excellent price. This will be absolutely on our list of places to go.
A great place with a variety of foods. Good American comfort food. I had some loaded pommes with chili, cubed tomatoes, halapenios and avocado. It was delicious. It has a great atmosphere. Many paintings, works of art, pictures and lights on the walls. A smaller section with live music and a bar I think. Overall recommend checking this place.
This place has a unique vibe. I ordered the Al Capone Italian sandwich, and it came with the most delicious tater tots I've ever had. My wife enjoyed a brisket quesadilla that was fantastic. The menu is diverse with plenty of options. We will definitely be back!
