Benno's Cajun Seafood - Galveston

Order at the counter, food delivered to the table. Smooth and easy operation. Folks at the counter were pleasant and smiling, food runners the same. The food was wonderful. Gumbo, coleslaw, shrimp, oysters, French fries all perfectly prepared, served hot and fresh. The wait was not long even though they were very busy on a holiday weekend afternoon. Another bonus: The Ladies room was very clean.

I had shrimp and fried oysters fries and coleslaw. Friend had fried oysters, red boiled potatoes and coleslaw. He didn't care for oysters. Manager offered to bring out something else for him, but he declined.

After a day at the beach, we decided to grab a bite to eat at this restaurant. We were impressed with how fast and simple it was to order at the counter. The staff was friendly and helped us choose some great dishes from the menu. We ended up trying the Fried Seafood Platter and the Crawfish Étouffée, both of which were delicious. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future.

It’s our first time trying Benno’s and highly recommended for you to stop by and try it. Food was very delicious-Cajun grill shrimp, Jambalaya, kids fried fish fingers you must try!The staff was so welcoming, friendly and attentive every single one of them. While we were eating we notice how they were cleaning ketchup bottles very detailed. Overall everything was amazing. ?????

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled cajun seafood platter and everything was overcooked. I spent over a hundred dollars on this meal and would have preferred going to Taco Bell. The service was also poor, with the kids' plates coming out ten minutes before ours. We will not be returning, as this was the worst food I've ever had in Galveston.
