Contribuiți la feedbackThis is a cozy little breakfast spot with limited seating. We visited on a busy Sunday, and larger groups had to wait, but since it was just the two of us, we sat at the counter and were seated immediately. Although it was a bit warm being so close to the stove and griddle, we enjoyed watching the cooks at work. They were very friendly, which enhanced our experience. Our waitress was also fantastic, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout our meal. If you're looking for a unique breakfast place with excellent service and tasty food, be sure to check out the Cracked Egg.
**First Impressions:** Chef Owen can be seen behind the counter, actively involved in every step of the cooking process. The waitstaff, who seem like family, are warm and welcoming; our waitress, Melanie, took great care of us. **Food:** The menu is well-prepared and clearly explained, although it could benefit from being organized in a more visually appealing way to help diners make quicker choices. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived on time. The flavors were simple yet perfect. Feel free to check out the photos available here for a preview of what to expect. **Check:** As two hungry diners, we spent $30 for three dishes, including coffee. Payment is made at the cashier after your meal. **Overall:** I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant if you find yourself on North Shore Road; it's an experience not to be missed!
The experience was enjoyable and reasonably priced. The service was also excellent. Thank you!
The food was amazing the Atmosphere was Family oriented The staff was great I wish I could give the chef 10 stars
We are from Germany and were on a two weeks roundtrip through California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Sequoia national Forest was our last stage before heading back to SFO. We got the recommendation at Corral Creek Lodge were we stayed and went there for breakfast twice. This is why: The Cracked Egg Cafe looked purely original to us, not at all touristy. It has its very own character and that is what we almost enjoyed the most about it : It does not even try to be perfect in a mainstream way it is just perfectly itself. Other than that the food is of really good quality (I had the oatmeal twice , my daughter pancakes which were really fluffy inside and slightly crispy outside and the Denver omelet at our 2nd visit, which was also great and was big enough to serve us (the rest of it as a lunch pack for our hike that day. Comment on the picture: We had never seen these bug fans before : They didn 't have a lot of work to do, but we liked them.
