La Penisola - GALLIPOLI

In the new town just at the causeway to the old town. Not touristy, very good food, great views, plenty of outside seating. Ideal for a reasonably priced lunch.

We really enjoyed the linguini with fresh fish, sea devil. We could select the fish ourselves. Also the tartare Tuna was excellent. As well as the lemon sorbet that we had as dessert. Very nicely located, and very friendly and helpful staff

Veramente mediocre. Con piatti di qualità media, prezzo medio, e una location media poiché appena fuori dalla città. Si potrebbe fare di più, a partire dalla qualità delle materie prime. Peccato.

DO NOT EAT HERE. This is possibly the WORST food I have ever had in Italy. Almost all the fish was frozen besides the mussels. The pastas are so acidic and poorly executed. The service is so awful/borderline rude. This is a tourist trap for tour busses of germans visiting the town. I'll save you the money and tell you to go somewhere else. What an embarrassment for Italian food culture. Disgusting lunch.

All was okay , except the schnitzel. Two of our three people family group ordered this. The schnitzel was paper thin and slightly burned. Neither me nor my daughter could actually eat it. I made a short movie clip of it. But I cannot post it, I use an impolite word in it and don’t want to embarrass myself and my family. Only advice I have: 1: Lower your expectations. 2: Only order sea food, it’s better. P.S. Staff is actually very nice.
