As a foreigner in North Italy I enjoy the delicacies but am also aware that Italians are very set in their ways and so it is best to stick to what they do best and experiment as little as possible. This is also true for this pastry shop. Some cakes are excellent (the chocolate pear cake and the fruit cakes come to mind) and some are uninspiring (i.e the Sacher Torte which is just OK but doesn't justify the price tag).
