Happy Joe's Pizza Ice Cream Galesburg

On July 15, I picked up my last pizza from Happy Joe's. Usually, about once every two weeks I would order a large, combo, thin crust pizza. The cost was $32.11. When I ordered the pizza over the phone on July 15, the price was $34.88. When I picked it up, I asked if the prices had gone up. The reply was that prices had increased beginning July 1st. I can get a large pizza at most places in Galesburg Monmouth for less. I can have a sit down meal for two (with a drink) at a restaurant such as Perkins for the same price or less.

Happy Joe's has priced their selves out of my business. $43 and change for a pizza a few months back that was less than $30. I am cognizant of prices going up but I am not wanting to buy a franchise ,just a pizza. Then I get charged for items that was ordered but failed to put on the pizza. Could have eaten better at Texas Roadhouse for same amount.

I had a mixed experience at this restaurant during a busy Friday lunch. The standout was the excellent waitress, who managed the full house impressively. However, it seemed like there was only one cook working, which likely contributed to the issues. The management appears to be lacking, as the restaurant is often short-staffed. There are definitely better pizza buffet options available in town.

My family and I had appeared early. Leslie had food ready for us. I really hope she's lucky. I definitely go back.

The restaurant was clean and not very busy. I highly recommend the gluten free pizza crust- it is the best I have ever had!
