Contribuiți la feedbackThis was the greasiest food I've ever encountered. I don't typically write reviews or complain about restaurants, but I'm genuinely disappointed that I couldn't finish any of my meal. I ordered the bistec encebollado, and it was soaked in oil—lacking flavor and quite dry. I had higher expectations.
The food here is outstanding, but the service leaves much to be desired. The staff was rude and seemed completely unaware of customers waiting for assistance while they chatted behind the counter. Additionally, I had my service dog with me in his Sherpa carrier, but they unusually insisted on seeing his ID card. Just to note, this is illegal in Maryland. I mentioned this to the staff because I genuinely love their food and have a Colombian background—not to complain unnecessarily. I was disappointed when they dismissed my concerns, even after I pointed out the legal issue. I suggested they inform the owner, but I doubt that will happen, so I hope the owner sees this review. Also, be aware that the baked goods are not available until noon, so if you're expecting fresh, warm bread with your breakfast, you might be out of luck. Overall, my experience at this location was quite disheartening. Colombians are among the friendliest people, and I hope other customers have a better experience than I did.
Well, after all the comments I'm totally agree. MOST WE AGREE that the bakery is poor quality over heated hard to eat. Menu is few things looks is not same as the georgia ave. Is sad how the management loose clients and make bad reputation. Last time from the menu they don't have 3 things so we decide to leave. Counter empty and the food containers looks like a trash nothing tasty.
After reading all the comments, I completely agree. Most of us feel that the bakery's quality has declined; the food is overcooked and difficult to eat. The menu is limited, and it doesn’t resemble the offerings on Georgia Ave. It’s disappointing to see how management is losing customers and damaging their reputation. During our last visit, they were out of three items on the menu, so we decided to leave. The counter was bare, and the food containers looked unappetizing and trashy, with nothing that seemed tasty.
Saw my Colombian friends on Saturday night and shared a picada and bandeja paisa.m from this restaurant. They even got the obleas con arequipe! The food was bland and dry but I thought it was due to the one hour travel time. Came in here on Monday to order the picada and try for myself and was rang up for $1.69 for a small picada. I asked why it was so cheap and was told that they were out of picada. Why even pretend to ring up my order to make a fake charge? If you don’t understand my Spanglish, please let me know?!?! We are going back to Bogota next week and looking forward to the real thing. There are better Colombian restaurants in the DMV!
