Gasthaus Zoller - GAIS

What I liked about this place is the staff are friendly and welcoming. A very warm and inviting restaurant that is reasonably priced. The food is just okay. They serve normal South Tyrolean dishes that proportioned very well. If you are hungry and cant find anything better this place is absolutely fine.

First, no English speaking waiter. He called his colleague. She was speaking half German half English. We were asking for a table for 4 people. The place was half full, but obviously other part was reserved. She told us to wait a bit. We were waiting 10 15 minutes, then asked her what is happening and then again she told us to wait a bit more (if I got this German English right). We were waiting for another 10 minutes and this last 10 mins the lady was in front of us, washing dishes. She suddenly just told us that there is no place. So, while doing the dishes, suddenly she remembered how to say it and sent us out. Unbelievable. Her colleague was lost all over the place, 2 of them, half full restaurant and they were completely lost.

My wife and I were staying in Brunico at her family house. Some friends from Tenna, near Trento drove up to visit last Sunday and we wanted to take them out to eat. Most of the restaurants in Brunico were either closed on Sundays or closed for the month of November before the Christmas season begins. We picked Gasthaus Zoller from these reviews and it was an excellent choice. It's only about fifteen minutes from Brunico. My wife and I shared the mixed meat platter for two, with veal, chicken breasts, beef, mini vitello milanese and sausages, along with grilled vegetables and three kinds of potatoes. I usually notice that Italian restaurants typically don't offer huge portions, unlike the States where virtually everyone leaves with a doggy bag, but at Gasthaus Zoller we had to leave some meat and potatoes on the platter. It was just too much to eat. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was beautiful. We weren't rushed and it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends

Two Saturdays ago, we arrived at 1:00 with our two dogs. rain and the owners did everything to be able to repair us from the water, when it seems impossible. sympathy, professionalism, courtesy and delicious food have characterized our first impact with these wonderful lands. thanks for the ham snack also trilly and star. next vacation. Thank you.

Casually with my wife we discovered this place. excellent value for money. fast service. The girls who served at the table. strudel made in the house of other times; He reminded me of the one eaten the first time in this area. I'm going back to dinner tonight.
