Hurricane Btw - Gainesville

The Christmas FE students are really lucky to have this restaurant located just around the corner from campus! The burgers here are even better than BurgerFi and surpass most other burger places in Gainesville. My order arrives incredibly quickly! Be sure to grab your drink and settle in because your food is served as soon as you sit down. The portion sizes are generous enough that you might need a takeout box. I’m excited to return, even though it’s a 45-minute trip!

I ordered a blue burger and 10 wings with a soft drink for $32. The burger was quite tasty, but the mild wings seemed to have been coated in a cold, red mayo. However, the teriyaki wings were excellent. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

If I compare this with other restaurants in the same price class as panera bread, this comes a little short. It's not bad for you. the workers do everything they can to keep the place clean and eat a good tasting. but it feels like it's not quite on the same level.

I went out of town on Saturday with my husband and ordered the boneless wings with the boss sauce. They were quite good, but after having ice cream two hours later, I ended up getting sick and vomiting. I was unwell for three days. I’m not sure if it was the water they used or if the food was contaminated, but the experience was terrible. I won’t be returning to this restaurant again.

I love coming here about once a week to sit out on the patio. Everything is nice and open and there is fast and great service—the staff is great! Best of all, the food always comes out hot and fresh. Love the 5 dollar Beer and Burger special!
