The Bull Thistle Pub - Gainesboro

What is amazing jewel in the heart of Gainesboro, on the city square. From the moment we entered, I could say we were a great experience. It was a special evening for us, as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, we not only got a fabulous meal, but it was a Saturday night when they played a live band. The drinks were all amazing as the service of the entire staff, but the star of the evening was the food. I had the Heritage Pork Medallion dinner with amazing cheesy garlic potatoes that I have in the glazed carrots they are addicted. My husband had the Bull Thistle Filet with the naughty garlic potatoes a side salad. Everything was cooked for perfection, the chef's kitchen staff definitely knows what they do. We look forward to trying more as this will be our new way to Date Nights. I am originally from Jackson County the building in which they are located was a favorite store of my childhood they held the original wooden floors beautiful metal tray ceilings. It is wonderful to see the history of the building received while the pub new features wonderful atmosphere for date nights, family meetings, special occasions, good I guess they can record any kind of event anyone can think of. I am very impressed by how well this restaurant runs, how really wonderful the food is. I can't wait for our next visit, maybe we can accommodate some of the amazing desserts I saw they have. I am so glad that this wonderful gastroub blossoms in my hometown, it is definitely worth a trip for everyone in the state of Tennessee, it is better than a lot of expensive restaurants in larger Tennesse cities definitely.

Exceptional service, first-class care and high-quality food! Everything from decor, kitchen and entertainment is well thought out and executed! My wife and I love this place and often.

It's not a place. BEST FOOD IN TENNESSEE, SERVICE is TOP NOTCH, LIVE MUSIC, AND FULL BAR. What is that?!

Great food! Great service! and on Saturday night free entertainment can't beat it ! Everything I've ordered so far has been wonderful. One of my favorites is the Celtic Wedge Salad it is a meal in it's self.

We come down about once a month and order the Cod . a couple of our friends told us that they ordered the Cod and the portions now have been reduced to 2 pieces now Is this right what they told us?
