Mare Fritto E Isole Comprese - GAETA

Bit of a wait, so had a pre dinner drink across the road in cafe de Paris, but timing was very accurate. The atmosphere was great, and the pasta even better. Can’t recommend this place enough, worth any wait!

This used to be a little take-away place with excellent fried seafood. A couple of years ago they decided to add a few tables for people to eat in and discontinue the take out service during the summer months ??! Because of this it’s practically impossible to eat here. They don’t accept reservations but if you go there personally it’s impossible to get a table. It’s the second year in a row that we’ve tried and we’ve been turned away both times! At 9:00 PM a sign is prominently displayed near the entrance saying that they have no more fish left. Considering that this is the South of Italy where people eat late and that the month of August is the busiest of the year, it’s really crazy to manage a business like this. Evidently these people don’t really need or want to work...

Fried anchovies, calamari and stock fish really good and we got it quickly. Personally I don't like eating with plastic cutlery and plate. Overall recommendable

Ottimo pranzo... buonissima la frittata di pasta e la pasta con le vongole e oro nero. Servizio veloce. Abbiamo aspettato di più per sederci che per mangiare. Consigliato!

Ogni anno che andiamo a Gaeta e' 1 meta fissa. Ambiente molto spartano con cibo di ottima qualita' , personale molto cortese.
