C J’s Crab Shack - Gadsden

This is the best seafood I've enjoyed in a long time. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely delicious. Gladdis was an exceptional server. I will definitely be returning! Food: 5/5

One of the best places to eat. If you have never eaten here you should definitely try it. They are top notch. The customer service is phenomenal. I have never been disappointed. The food is delicious. They keep us coming back. It is definitely worth it. Check out Facebook to see their specials. I’ve had their shrimp, salmon, and pasta. My husband and son’s love their crab legs. We always walk away satisfied and glad we chose to eat there. Huge portions of food.Kid-friendliness: They treat you like family. Always checking in with you to make sure you have everything you need.

My family and I wanted to try this restaurant and we won’t be back. The hostesses were lovely but our table wasn’t ready even though we called hours before to reserve. We were then told that they didn’t have an available table since it was so busy. As we were about to leave one of the hostesses asked if we’d like to sit outside. We agreed and waited for them to get the tables together and clean them. They weren’t cleaned well, luckily I had wipes in my bag, so I wiped them again. The wipes turned brown from all the dirt.There was an uncomfortable moment when one waitress, with pink hair, was mean to the hostess in front of us as they were setting up our tables.Once seated we were greeted by a different waitress, Sarah. She was a delight. Throughout our dinner she was patient, professional and diligent. When she forgot a few items she apologized and rectified the situation. She is the only reason I’m giving more then 1 star.The food was ok. The seafood boil wasn’t worth the price they charge and my sister in law’s lettuce in her salad was still wet, making her whole salad watery.The atmosphere needs work. The place is too dark and it’s certainly not aesthetically pleasing.

I avoided this place because I personally knew people who didn't like the food, and I tried it when they were mobile and I wasn't too thrilled. I'm glad I finally decided to try it again! I initially tried the crab legs just to see how they were... and they were good!! Went there the other day and had the crab legs, shrimp, and potatoes. This time, the meal was really salty, but the lemon really helped. I'm so glad that I gave the restaurant a chance because this is now one of my go-to places. Can't wait to try other dishes! And oh yeah... like them on Facebook so you can catch their deals that they have on different days!
