O Mesao - Funchal

Food just about acceptable,service not that good. Overall a poor choice. The local speciality of fish with banana was pretty tasteless.

The place is simple but good. I wanted the Portuguese-style steak Medium Well, and that 's exactly what it was! I found the price of 14€, with rice and vegetables, to be good for the quality and size of the steak, I estimate about 200g. The service is unobtrusive but quick and nice. Overall, I highly recommend the o mesao.
