Brasserie - Funchal

Stunned on this place during vacation and loved it. it has a sea view, has amazing eating and the service is great. would definitely recommend immersing. we shared a bottle of wine, each had a beer, the steak main course, a dessert and coffee and the bill came to €65.

We had a great meal in the brasserie. eating is easy, but delicious. we had both steaks that were excellently cooked. the cheesecake was light and creamy and the yogurt and caramel dessert reminded my friend of the dessert of his mother growing up (he is Portuguese). the service was really outstanding here, we were served by soria and she was wonderful. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a relaxed dinner with great food and friendly service (and big wine).

Nice restaurant, with high quality food. The covert is certainly to a top standard, and had duck for a main which was also very good and well presented. It seems like this is a place for regular customers, so I advise booking ahead if you want a table outside. The one major downside was that although staff were very friendly, as soon as we'd finished our mains they went AWOL. Our wine was kept away from us along with everyone else's water. This created an awkward situation where everyone was asking for a top up. We even had to ask for the dessert menu ourselves, it took that long. Apart from that they were fairly prompt to attend. Good restaurant that's worth a visit, but be wary of how long you'll wait for service!

Great service and friendly waiters. The food however.. is just plain or prepared in a odd manner. Most of the guests are from the hotel that provides tickets for all-inclusive guests. There are plenty of restaurants in the area with way better food. Recommend you try those and leave this as a last resort..
