Armada - Funchal

The Royal savoy madeira has a good resturant called Armada.We were 6 people at Romantic dinner.We had shrimps,chickensoup,kalfmedallion/sole,appelpie with icecreame and coffe with petitfour.We had sparkling wine,whitewine,redwine,dessertwine,sparkling water.All the wines were from good to very good.The service from the staff was very good.The tables nice.We had a good time wwith the good food and lots of wine.This is of the best.

Fantastic food and great service. can recommend bark meat wellington or surfing.

And they only appear to have an a la carte menu twice a week! This can’t be right! Five star! We decided to try it. Very limited menu. Quite expensive for good food but no better than we’ve had in the town for a lot less. I really enjoyed my lamb which was nicely pink. My soup was tasty and hot. My son and his wife also enjoyed their meal although my son’s scallops had grains of sand in them which we pointed out to the waiter. The staff are lovely which makes this place what it is.

Well hidden of the road, down a narrow cobbled road. Once there the views are good and the food is very nice.

Excellent service by very friendly stall, buffet's some nights and alacarte waiter service other nights
