Contribuiți la feedbackI don't understand why there are negative reviews here. My family started dining at Dekkers when my parents moved to Fulshear this year. We have always had a great experience every time we come.
The friend's birthday dinner at this restaurant was fantastic. The large terrace provided a great atmosphere, and the live music added to the experience. The portions were generous, and the prime rib was cooked to perfection, making for a delicious and satisfying meal. The black cats and gum bears were a tasty addition to the meal.
I have dined at this restaurant twice and have truly enjoyed the experience both times. The live entertainment and friendly staff make for a great atmosphere. The location on the west side of Houston is always a plus.
I'm unclear as to why there are negative review here. We started eating at Dekkers when my parents moved out to Fulshear earlier this year. EVERY time the staff has been attentive and the service has been great... ask for Dave, he's one the ball with refills and very accommodating. The food quality is outstanding and every dish I've tried has been delicious. My favorite is their version of shrimp and grits, which is a spicy take on an Louisiana favorite. My hunny loves the gumbo and their rolls with jus are outstanding. To the woman who complained about a bug in her glad of wine... welcome to Texas sweet heart and everyone knows going out to dinner on Mother's Day is going to be an exercise in patience since EVERY restaurant is going to be slammed.
Setup: friend's bday dinner The better: large patio, live music, large portions, very solid food nice rare prime rib, good blackened catfish and gumbo (as noted by a friend from NOLA , sweet steamed crab legs, creamy grits with very tender short rib, decent wine selection and pricing. The lesser: gravel parking lot with no deliniations, separation between dining room and additional back room (extra dining? Party space? is a little weird with the half curtain Observations: upscale casual vibe inside, casual outside (come as you are dress code it seems sort of seems like it can't decide what type of restaurant it wants to be, but I guess that might increase their customer base in a family friendly area
