Udon Taira - Fukuoka

I honestly didn't know Udon was a thing in Fukuoka, but man, I'm glad I found this place. An absolute gem of a bowl of Udon, with chewing noodles and delicious broth. The price is also cheap. Nice staff and a great service. A must try.

A friend recommendation, I guess they moved into new shop. On the first day we missed Fukuoka, then we were looking and driving to try before we went to the airport. The Udon texture is great, Bouncy but delicious with the soup, the soup is the soul! The day we went there they don't have an English menu, but who cares, learn our Japanese to order a big Udon!

Very recommended. This place has flat noodles, but they taste great. I had the beef tempura udon, but I only recommend the herbal tempura. The soup tastes “pure” without the beef odour.

The most amazing bowl of beef at all. The noodles are so fluffy and chewing! And the soup, oh so delicious. Will definitely come back for another bowl before we go!

Best freshly made udon noodles I've had in Japan. It cost 570 yen for the bowl you see (beef tempura veg). I went shopping in the morning and then came here at 3pm. I did not have to wait but there was a steady flow of people still coming in. Quick turnaround I was in and out within 15 minutes. Very friendly service and as mentioned in other reviews, no English menu but the waitress recommended me the beef and tempura as their most popular. Loved seeing the noodles made fresh in front of me. Wish I had time to come back again!
