Starving Artists Bistro - Fresno

Had a great time. This is a gem that has been in the area for a long while. Most every night has live music too. And day time has open mic everyday. We found the environment inviting and also enjoyed dancing (no dance floor) in between bites of yummy food! If you haven't, you have to check this out. Definitely a new hang out for me and my love.

We enjoy having lunch or dinner here. Food is good and there are lots of choices. Many nights, they have performers, and that's a great add to the ambiance. There is a large outdoor patio out front also. A suggestion I have would be to monitor how loud the performers are by sound checking, sitting in back so that it isn't uncomfortable having dinner and a conversation.

We went for an early lunch and the food was not very good. To be fair, I don't think the food is the selling point.The atmosphere is very relaxed/casual and the restaurant has a ton of music memorabilia. The artist theme is definitely the focus and that was 100% met.Based on my experience, I'd say this place would be great for appetizers, drinks, and live music with friends.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at starving artists. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere and service were excellent. Loved everything about it. We had the chicken entree, which was juicy and delicious, and the prime rib sandwich, which was tasty. The onion rings are some of the best rings you can buy. The drinks were also good.

Went there for dinner. Food was great main (salmon) plus spinach and artichoke dip (appetizer). Service and music are definitely good. The outside patio had a great vibe. Nobody was sitting inside as the weather was fine and warm.Food: 5/5
