Magic Lamp Mediterranean Grill - Fresno

Twice I have ordered from this restaurant in the last 2 weeks on DoorDash and they have been closed. Two weeks ago I ordered, waited 45 minutes with no confirmation, then drove 30 minutes to pick up and there was a sign on the door that said closed this week for renovations. I waited a few days, called back and the owner said they 'd be open in two days. I waited another 4 days and ordered again since they were up on DoorDash again and the owner was loading up his car and said not open. Why are you up on DoorDash then? Not only did I waste my time twice, but the owner appeared to be parked in the handicapped spot with no handicapped placard in visible sight on his car to move items from his store and on the phone. All the other handicapped spots were taken. It 's a shame because the food sounded good, but I 'll gladly take my business elsewhere.

Just placed a 97 dollar order, got an email saying it will be ready! Waited and came to the restaurant and it's closed for renovations! Very irritating and frustrating. My card was charged, made everyone wait for dinner, drove all the way here for it to be closed with no notice on the website! Happy Friday to me!

I've been dying to come here and I'm so glad I finally did! I came here on a weekday evening, so it wasn't very busy. I checked in on their iPad while the server waited to seat us, feeling a little rushed. We then got to pick our seats outside since there was really nobody else there. Across from Magic Lamp is the Annesso pizzeria patio, which was packed (and loud), so we opted for seating further away. Our server seemed a bit rushed, despite there being few guests...so she just sat us randomly. Oh well, we came for the food~ We ordered the Magic Lamp Combo and the Mixed Shawarma plates. I personally LOVED the shawarma plate and would come back to order this over and over. I've been actually craving the chicken shawarma since coming here, the Trader Joe's pre marinated version does not compare by even a fraction. I guess I'll just have to come back asap for the real thing! Our plates came with a salad, which I of course gobbled mine up because medi style salads are my favorite. Next time hoping to try some of the other plates and seating indoors. Can't wait for my next visit!

I came here for lunch on a weekday. The place is very clean. The staff was efficient considering there was only one person working the front and one person (from what I saw) in the kitchen. I ordered from their lunch menu and got the chicken shawarma plate. My dad got the chicken shawarma pita sandwich. He wanted to get the combo shawarma but they were out of beef shawarma. The plate was okay. The chicken was a little dry. They provided this sauce that definitely helped a ton with the dryness. The flavor was definitely there though. My dad said the pita sandwich was good and not dry. He said it was quite unique as he hadn't had anything like it before. The fries with his sandwich were amazing. They were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. If I were to go back, I would probably try something else on their menu.

I went today there. It is advertised the place close at 8:00 pm. Got there at 7:19. Server was nice, sat me and I immediately ordered my food. Hummus to go and a Pita chicken sandwich to eat in. Within 2 minutes another server came and informed unfortunately the grill was already off and they were only able to serve the hummus and the lentil soup this was the side of the sandwich). Very disappointing. I took the hummus as didn't want to go to another place. The server that took my order came back with the hummus and apologized. I understand employees want to go home early and maybe being Mothers day played a part, but in these cases 1) either close the door and don't sit any customers or update the website informing change of hours. I wrote this review at 7:39, so plenty of time for the closing time.
