SAKI'S SPIN A YARN RESTAURANT - Fremont

Steak night. Went with some coworkers, the food was excellent. Definitely a little pricey but worth it. the steak was well seasoned and cooked just the way I like it, with plenty of juice inside and amazing carmalized bits of fat. the sides were great, and our telented waiter paired us with the right wines. I hope to go again when I'm in town

Four of us agreed that our meals were excellent. We had prime rib, pork chops, and halibut. The service was very good. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Had one of the best NY strip steaks I have ever eaten at Spin-a-Yarn. The name might throw you- sounds like a country-style breakfast joint- NOTHING could be further from the truth! A very upscale menu with a wide selection of choices. From steak to veal to some very avant garde seafood and pasta dishes. The bar has all of your needs covered with their up-market pours. The early appetizer specials (served until 6) are a great value at just 3 each. The waiters all wear tux shirts and ties- the atmosphere is very warm and a surprise from t what I expected from the name- I was expecting pictures of kittens and fake flowers from the name- instead I got the full-on upscale slightly European decor. The bar was lovely- granite and leather with TV tuned to various play-off games- the Dining rooms were small and intimate. There is al fresco dining, but I didn't get that far. All-in-all a very good choice- maybe not for the kids- and bring a little more than you might expect- I was a little surprised that the entrees exceeded 20 and my HUGE steak was a healthy 36- but WORTH every CENT! I just wished I had someone with me to enjoy the experience.. I would highly recommend this and will return when I am in the area.

The owners are so accommodating. I called only a few days before we had our family dinner here. They were able to put us in a private party room and decorated for my Aunts bday. The food was spectacular. Highly recommend Spin a Yarn for a nice intimate dining experience right in the heart of Fremont.

Passing through as we went from Texas to Oregon to visit family, we like to try out restaurants that Gordon Ramsay helped. We had several different dishes and we all loved our meals. All the meats were juicy, tender and full of flavor. Staff was really nice. Atmosphere is beautiful. We had one small hiccup that was professionally handled and that's all we could ask for. It's really great here. If there's anything under par, just kindly inform them and they will redo it. Easy. Truly a great place and so much better than any chain.
