Contribuiți la feedbackWOW! The amazing food threw me away! Everything from soup salad bar, to our dinner (fried bluegill roasted mussels), to homemade rhabarb pee was delicious! The building itself is a little dated could rebuild (especially the bathrooms), but the food makes you look at the decor. Top Notch is worth many future visits!
Quaint. Like a step back in time. The menu and hours have changed from what they have on their website. It needs to be updated. We walked in there on a Saturday, about 11:30AM, and they still had the breakfast buffet going. I asked the waitress, and she said they have it until about Noon. The menu items and prices have changed also. We had the all you can eat fish and shrimp. But never did get any more then the two pieces of the heavily battered fish, which was tasty. Husband had the Blue Gill and he loved it, said he could of eaten twice as much. The raspberry pie was very small and way too sweet for our liking. And the dough was under cooked. The salad bar they have serves iceberg lettuce, hard boiled eggs, which were way too rubbery to eat, and some of the best cole slaw I have had. Would definitely return, when in the area. Sans the dessert.
We loved it. Excellent all you can eat fish fry everyday. Pie to die for. Fried chicken was fantastic.
Friendly people serving great food. Open Tuesday Sunday. Within 5 minutes of the toll road, and well worth the stop. They make their own pies, soups, and many other offerings. The pies are amazing, both in variety and quality. The soups are all fresh made, hearty and flavorful. Their own recipe sloppy Joe sandwich comes on a perfectly toasted bun get it on the daily special with fries and a cup of one of the four soups that day. The onion rings are fresh and rival any you 've ever had. You 'll feel like a 'regular ' on your first visit. All that at reasonable prices.
We eat here every time we stay at Pokagon. The blue gill is great, and of course we have pie.
