Update June 2019: When passing, the name “Thai Isan Rose” was renamed to the unequally simpler “Orchidee”. I need to find out if the property, the kitchen or something else has changed. And so far: with roses she has, the resolute little wife Somphon Schippers from Laos. Her first local rose in a small pavilion in the shadow of the Jewish imprisonment has held over the years and developed into a secret tip for friends of inexpensive Laotic cuisine. Now the Thai version in Habsburgerstraße. Isan Rose. Whether it is the northeastern region of Thailand or just the location of the place in the northeast of Freiburg, I have not yet found out. The establishment of the local area has been rather less invested. Mobiliar and also the ethno applications are still from the unfortunate Persian predecessor. It's halfway. The Isan Rose scores with a small, rear rose (clear! hidden garden with wrought iron white furniture. In suitable weather, all tables are occupied here almost daily, and the kitchen is barely pampered. One reason for this is certainly the favourable prices that Mrs Schippers would like for her freshly prepared meals. The chicken fillet in the Sesamcoat costs only 7.50 euros with cashew nuts, roasted chili peppers, fresh crispy vegetables and creamy coconut sauce. Despite its proximity to the experiential Habsburgerstraße, the location also has a somewhat relaxed ideal for a relaxed lunch. It should only be time, the fresh preparation demands its tribute.
Very good place to have a lunch with the family and friends. The price is ok and has so different kind of plates.
