Just a great place! Here everyone goes: families, cyclists, students, cafes, walkers, pensioners and tourists who want a cozy picnic area in front of the city.

Café Marcel is located in the Freiburger Stadtgarten, right next to Schlossberg Station. Due to the specific optics it does not look very inviting, but the image changes quickly when you get closer. Everything is scaryly lovingly designed, you can sit very nicely outside in deckchairs or naturally settle in the grass. The offer of coffee variations is great and there are also small dishes and sweet pastries! I had a cold drip and an espresso and was thrilled! All of excellent quality and I find the idea great that there is always a guest bean as an alternative at home coffee. The good overall picture is rounded off by a beautiful and perfect service! Recommended!

Best coffee in the city, friendly team and great atmosphere in the city garden! Staff understand their craftsmanship and have a strong knowledge of coffee and roast making. Enjoy every time.
